Steamboat is never something new to me, and I believe most people love it as well, especially during cold rainy day or family/friend gathering. Danny, his parents and I were invited to join the review of Ye Zi Steamboat @ The Roof few weeks ago. Well, personally know Ye Zi for quite a while; yet, I have yet been there.
YEZI is the first of its kind concept steamboat in the country that uses coconut-based broth and this concept was inspired from a famous Chinese steamboat restaurant in Shenzhen. With motivation from eating clean and healthy, YEZI’s great emphasis on the broths of coconut base is complimented by a wide repertoire of organic and semi organic dishes fresh from the farm to the table.
Basically, the broth isn’t the chicken soup you will normally have in other steamboat shop. It is much healthier. Our broth of the day was a tweak version of their popular Treasures of The Ocean. Aromatic rice wine added to the broth of clam, creating a delectable and unique flavour. This broth will be made upon order, right in front of you~
Interesting right? I swear, all of us were super duper hungry when watching the crew preparing the set for us!
For the steamboat ingredients, typically, there are suggested food that come with the broth you choose. You may also order other ingredients too. For some dishes, there are few flavours, the crew will suggest the portion and help to mix and match.

Meanwhile, don’t forget to dip the food with Ye Zi self-made dipping sauce. It is spicy, yet, it brought out the good taste of the food~
I personally love the Coconut Dumpling much. It is kinda special. Have you tried dumpling stuffed with coconut? No? Try it at Ye Zi then~
You should also try out their homemade balls as well. The balls are made upon order, super duper fresh and tasty~
For the meat, we had the pork neck meat, pork slices and Iberico meat. The meats were chewy.
Last, we were served with their best selling dessert – Coconut with Avocado. NOTE!!! This needs about 15-20 minutes to be ready. So, order only if you can wait, or order when you are about to finish your steamboat feast.
Overall, the dining experience in Ye Zi Steamboat was awesome. We highly recommend here for whom are looking for premium steamboat restaurant. Trust me, you will never felt disappointed with the food at YeZi Steamboat.
