Time Lapse – View from My Sweetie Home @ Sandakan

0
Remember last week I have shared a stop motion film “Happiness”?
Check here if you didn’t read that.
As I explained there,
stop motion is different from time lapse.
So, this week, I am showing a time lapse film;
a view from my hometown, Sandakan.
What is Time Lapse?
Time lapse photography is a technique that records a scene or objects that has a slow state-of-change and turns it into a video that plays back in high speed. —  Peteris Kelle, Honkiat.com

In other words, time lapse photography means compressing the series of photographs into a video. So, to produce a time lapse photography, it can consume hours or even days. It does require a high level of patience to complete time lapse. Because when it started recording, photographer can no longer pause or take a look in the recording; or else, you have to stop the whole project and restart again.

Place taken: From my home, Sandakan
Time taken: One (1) hour

Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 3
App: Lapse It! Pro
Frame taken: 2 seconds per frame
I didn’t use DSLR to record this time lapse.
That time I still don’t own one. >.<
I was using my mobile to do this.
So, you can also do your own time lapse film via yours. =D
But, first you need to get yourself a tripod.
I was using gorillapod >> Find in DS Shoppe <<

It is the first attempt on time lapse photography.
I hope I can make more with my camera next time.
I want to record SUNSET!!! 😉
I bet it must be very beautiful~~~
