MISS Coffee & Toast @ PFCC

0
Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! When you are happily gathering with your friends and relatives, I am writing up this review. It is a foodie post. Who loves food (I bet all of you) MUST read!
Danny and I were invited to review MISS Coffee & Toast at PFCC (Puchong Financial Corporate Centre) and here’s our humble sharing on MISS.
Ambiance:
Wonder whether you have noticed the word “Paris” in the middle of “MISS” and “Coffee & Toast”. The major concept of MISS is to bring Paris into Malaysia; whereby customers would experience a touch of Paris when visiting MISS. (Hint: read the last part of this post, you will understand my meaning of “touch of Paris”.)

MISS provides a cozy and relaxed ambience to customers. Customers can choose to dine in the air-conditioned space or non-air conditioned space. But for current weather, I think air-conditioned space is a better option. Again, MISS has a open kitchen; thus, customers can see how the crews prepare the food and drinks.

Food:
In Malaysia, peanut, butter, jam on toast is one of the most delectable desserts / tea time food. MISS know this well; nonetheless, MISS wants to come out of the box. Instead of peanut, butter and jam, MISS chooses honey as the paste; and hence, the classic honey toast becomes MISS signature dish.

Topped with vanilla-flavored ice cream and a thin layer of garlic on the toast. The honey was served separately so the toast wouldn’t absorb all the honey before you have eaten it. The toast was freshly baked by MISS. It was crunchy; meanwhile, the inner part was soft. Need not to say, the honey was sweet; so, don’t pour too much on the toast. Few drops are enough.

Another toast we were given to try out was banana chocolate toast. Unlike chocolate banana cake, the toast was neither in chocolate nor banana flavour. In fact, the toast was covered with chocolate and served with sliced banana. This toast was a sinful dish, for god sake. It was mouth-watering and flavourful.

Besides, we also had their classic waffle. Same, it was topped with vanilla ice-cream and whipped cream. Two strawberries was served too. There was maple syrup on the waffle. It was delightful.

If customers prefer light-flavored dishes, MISS recommended to try their mini toast. It comes with 4 flavours – baked chessy chicken ham toast with mozzarella, shredded crab meat toast with mixed mayonnaise, smoked salmon toast with capper, black olive and lemon, smoked duck toast with hard-boiled egg and mesclun salad. FYI, customers can choose to have one, three or five slices when ordering this mini toast.

I managed to try baked chessy chicken ham toast; it was palatable. The ham was dry and it was tasteless without the baked cheese on top. Danny had tried the smoked salmon toast. He said that the salmon was fresh and the lemon was not too sour; thus, the toast was appetizing.

Other than toast and waffle, MISS also pride themselves in cooking spaghetti. We recommended you to try their smoked salmon carbonara spaghetti. It was sautéed with smoked salmon, caper and capsicum in carbonara sauce. The texture of carbonara sauce was not too creamy; hence, it was not greasy. We were not sure whether it was their homemade sauce, but it was heavenly delicious.

Coming to the drink, I ordered hot white chocolate. I never se white chocolate is served in cafe; thus, I wanted to try how it taste differently from the dark chocolate. It was sweet-smelting when the crew delivered it to me. However, it was too milky for me. Indeed, I can’t taste any chocolate flavour from it. It tasted similar to hot vanilla.

Love & Friendship Lock Campaign:
Remember I gave a hint regarding to “touch of Paris”? Here is it! MISS is currently organising a campaign for love & friendship. This campaign aimed to show your love to your beloved one and also your BFF. Purchase a love lock at MISS with RM30, you can then lock your love in MISS. When locking your love lock in MISS, you will receive a certificate of couple/friendship. Well, that isn’t an end. You and your beloved one/friend would need to return to MISS at the same date after one year, the lock will be returned to you. If you didn’t return on that day, sadly to say, your lock will be disposed. So, make sure you return together with your loved one/BFF after one year.
